We are pleased to share that the second official trailer for Homo Oeconomicus at Staatstheater Hannover, the new opera by composer Andrea Tarrodi and librettist-director Helena Röhr has been released!

Following the first teaser release, this new trailer offers an expanded look into the creative world of the opera ahead of its world premiere on 11 April 2026 at Ballhof 1. The work explores the concept of Homo Oeconomicus through a contemporary musical and theatrical perspective, questioning human behaviour within economic systems.

We are especially pleased to highlight the artistic contribution of conductor Hyerim Byun, who leads an opera production for the first time and brings new depth to Andrea Tarrodi’s intricate score. Alongside the trailer, new rehearsal images by Bettina Stoess and additional behind-the-scenes materials offer an intimate look at the making of the production.

We are proud to support this Platform Member’s activities in sharing new materials around Homo Oeconomicus, contributing to broader audience outreach and the development of new audiences, and look forward to sharing this next step in the journey of Homo Oeconomicus as anticipation builds toward its premiere.
